About a week and a half ago, around 9:30 pm, I was just starting homework when we heard Bubba cry. Normally I wouldn't even blink an eye at a squawk during the night, but immediately I knew something was wrong. To make a long story short - we experienced Bubba's first, and hopefully only, 'night terror'. We have found this explanation to be similar to what happened in those 8 or so minutes (plus a few panicked phone calls to Bubba's grandparents and doctor). Neither BigCat nor I had experienced a scare like this before. We're thankful it wasn't something more serious.
And in the life of a 19-month-old boy, there are many 'firsts' happening all of the time:
And his first official hair cut (I cut his duck tail months ago). Thanks Grandma R. And thanks to this yummy sucker! Overall it went well. He's more little boy and less baby all of the time.
Lastly, an update on Bubba's parents. BigCat is back to about 85% after the double-ear-infection. I had a relatively pointless appointment with my specialist this week. We concluded I am half-way better and that we'll be "half is glass full" kind of people. He and I will visit again in a couple of months, unless there are changes in my status between now and then.
Although school is keeping me up way too late on weeknights, soaking up every spare minute I have and causing a decent amount of stress, I am enjoying it. I am happy with the forum and am satisfied with every experience thus far. In fact, after week one I have a solid 'A' and great feedback from my instructor. It feels good! :-)

Hey Sarah
Yikes, nasty bump. I have yet to get used to things like that. I hear the more children you have the less freaked-out you get.
I'm really interested in learning more about how your school works. We'll chat about it.
Health - who knew it was such a big deal ;)
Lots of love, Auntie J
Ryleigh had 1 night terror, it was horrible! Hopefully he won't have another, they are just so strange. I did read somewhere that staying up late can be a factor, it was with Ry (we went to a Twins/Rangers game that night).
Get used to the bumps! And the dirty looks you get from people! I can't believe what a little man Jack is turning into, he is so cute.
Hope you and BC are starting to feel better too. Miss you guys!

i heard that the blue light in tv can be a big factor-they say that's what keeps teenagers from sleeping well (the blue light from the computer?) anyways, scary to get those big cuts, but i'm sure there will be many more. do you ever get used to something like that? jack sure is cute--i think you should have more :o)
continued success and enjoyment with school. it was great seeing you last night!!
way to go, supermom! you are really kicking it. i'm so proud! your little boy IS turning into quite the little man, isn't he? his haircut is so sweet. :) glad you found a minute to post!
