Anxious

I'm feeling a bit anxious now about leaving Peanut for 4 nights, the longest I've been away from the family since I had him. Anyone out there have any tips for me? Granted, he'll be with his dad in very good hands, but I know I'm going to miss him! That will most likely be the only downfall of this vacay.

Grandpa???

Peanut really isn't into watching tv... unless WOF (Wheel of Fortune) is on (yes, I insist on watching). Tonight I was trying to give him his bottle but he struggled to sit up and watch the Wheel! Every time it's on, he's sure to watch. Is it the pretty colors and tic tic tic sound of the wheel? Or is it Grandpa showing him a good thing? I do believe it's the latter.

Hoppy Easter!!

I hope everyone out there in Blogdom is having a wonderful Easter! I cannot believe how hard it was snowing here this morning, but thanks to the sun this afternoon a lot of it is already gone. I'm very ready for this season to be over with. Year after year it seems like our winters and summers are coming closer together with less of the mild spring and fall. Spring is my favorite season, so I'm really looking forward to its arrival. Hurry up!

However, I do get to go to Mexico in 6 days. Yay!! I normally may not afford myself such a luxury at this point in time, but it's for a good friend's wedding... so here I come! Planning for the trip has been a great stress reliever for me. Something to focus on after Peanut goes to sleep or for those dazing moments at work. Speaking of which, Peanut's sleeping...

Chit Chat

Everday there is more than one moment that I think to myself "now here's what I should blog about", if only I could telepathically get it to my computer. I've stayed clear of my computer after the last week of fighting with it... long story short, no pictures will be posted anytime soon. Now I have too many things floating around in my head, so here it goes.

Peanut, work, dumpling day, Peanut, BigCat, Pup, Mexico and last but not least Peanut! He is doing great! Just had his 3rd tooth break through, now he's in much better spirits than the past couple months. Whew... fine with that being over! His personality is coming through more and more all the time, so much fun **cute picture of Peanut's new teeth here**.

Dumpling Day was a great time for Peanut to take in the family. I kinda think of it as a family holiday. We don't get together for the typical ones (Easter, Turkey Day, President's Day), only Christmas, so this is one day to get all those who can make it together. We eat lots of good ol' food and enjoy the company.

On to the rest... BigCat is in a lull with fishing (I think) which means we have more time together **insert picture of BigCat**, but I'm sure he'll be itchin for the next season very soon **BigCat w/ fish**. The pup needs her teeth cleaned, really hoped we wouldn't have to do it yearly, but her breath keeps sneaking up on us **cute puppy pic**. Work - tough day, the awesome PT hours and benefits are keeping me there. And last but not least... T minus 12 days til Mexico!!!

Frustration Nation

I started on Monday night... trying to get my wireless Internet working on my laptop. For someone who used to think she was fairly technologically savvy, this has gone tremendously bad. To make a long story short, I'm still trying to get things running and am incredibly frustrated. So much so I could cry, but haven't... yet. I'm taking a short break for now, need to recoup before moving on.

The whole reason I wanted this laptop is because my desktop is a dinosaur. So much so that my new camera won't even talk to it. Once I get everything running (I'm still optimistic this will happen), I will post some pics up... The dresses, Peanut, Mexico... all of the happy things. I can hardly wait.

Wish me luck, although I'm not sure that's what I need.

Work Shmork

That's right, I should be working right now. However, my internet is down at home (ugh!) so in order to keep up with my bloggin', I gotta sacrifice a little of the paid hour. Oh darn!

MIL said it... our dress shopping was a complete success! Yay! That woman is what I call a 'Shopping Charm', really the best I know. Not only did we find one dress, but 4! And not a single one of them needs altering, it truly is a gift. The bad news is that I may not be getting my #4, after some calling by Macy's to locate another one, it has now been lost. I'm bummed but am going to do what I can to find another just like it. Thanks to the WWW, it may be very possible. For those of you looking, I found one (my fave) at Black House White Market... that one is for my very special SIN's (sister-in-law) wedding. The other 3 were from Macy's, two of which are very summer wedding, beach or no beach, appropriate.

About this name thing... I won't be using people's real names (I'm copying my bloggin' cousin on this one) so need to become creative. I don't think my SIN probably likes SIN as a name, so what shall I call her... Maybe SeaShell... The hubby will be BigCat for now and the babe Peanut. Just so we're all on one page. As people are brought into the bloggin' equation, I'll strike up some names.

Back to work, all of you! Oh, maybe just me...

28 Dresses

Why 28? Because that's how many years it seems I've been looking for the perfect little dress. They just never fit right, til one day last week. Finally, a dress that fits me... except for the weird way it lays in the front. Good news is that my talented mother-in-law can fix it for me! Yes, there's hope! So, we're working to zip it up (yep, the hubby and myself), to see what she can do, when the crappy zipper breaks right open. Oh no... my dress dreams were crushed. Now, I'm on yet another dress hunt, not only one but two, for the many upcoming weddings. The light... MIL (Mother-in-Law) is willing to go on the escapade with me to see what she could tailor. I can hardly wait to see if we find that perfect dress... sun dress, little black dress, dancin' dress... Keep your fingers crossed!

Wonder Woman

I often wonder how the many women I know are able to be it all: a loving wife, mother, homemaker, employee, etc. and still find the time to be bloggers?!? I am looking forward to sharing stories and enjoying feedback as I begin these new ventures, in blogland and womanhood.

The babe is already six and a half months… where does the time go?!?! Each day that passes is a reminder of one of my favorite sayings, ‘Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer to the end, the faster it goes’. As the days quickly become weeks and the weeks months, I am doing my very best to enjoy every single, fortunate, day of my life.

I know I’ll be taking on many challenges with so much to learn in my new worlds. I’m grateful that everyday I have such wonderful people to share it with, learn from and lean on. This picture is the one that accompanies me all day at work asking, 'Mama, when can you come play?'.
